Hello all,
I'm Sarah from Shropshire in the UK.
I'm 42, and have just recently discovered Mixed Media Art. It has become a central part of my life, and i kind of need to do ARTING most days much to my enjoyment.
I have done several on-line courses to help me to gain a better understanding of drawing, painting using Acrylics and water-paint, coloring using paint pens, crayons, oils, pastel pencils and collaging and how to bring a piece of art work together.
At the moment i am exploring mixed media by doing a course called Angels Among Us, and it entails weekly classes from different teachers, on how to draw an Angel and paint, collage, color her in. Each week has been different and each teacher has a different style, it is interesting to learn different techniques and processes each week.
I have also participated in a lovely course with a lady called Petra Stein to create an Imperfect girl, and i really enjoyed her approach to the lessons, learning how to use black paint and collaging an Imperfect girl.
I have completed different pieces of Artwork using various techinques from a number of people Petra Stein, Kara Strachan Bullock, Stacha Prazak Conboy, who has amazing watercolor techinques to die for. Along with Tamara Laport from Willowing, and Various ladies from the Art Journaling Course, and the Radiant Course i am attending. Just a few, there are other courses i would love to do, but money is a bit tight at the moment.
